Slimane crowned at the NRJ Awards, following a complaint for sexual harassment

Singer Slimane, targeted by a complaint for sexual harassment, won the trophy for French-speaking male artist at the NRJ Awards 2024 after representing at Eurovision last May.

Lhe singer Slimane, currently on tour for his “Cupid tour” and targeted by a complaint for sexual harassment filed by a technician during a date in December 2023, won Friday evening 1is November the trophy for French-speaking male artist at the NRJ Music Awards. This price “has a special taste”recognized Slimane on stage: “My daughter, when you grow up I really hope you will be proud of your daddy. […] To my audience, sorry, from a human to many other human beings, thank you from the bottom of my heart”, he added, very moved.

This was his first public appearance since the revelation by The Parisian of a complaint from a lawyer representing a technician who claims “being a victim of sexual harassment […] in December 2023, during a concert at the Zénith de Saint-Etienne”, according to the Saint-Etienne public prosecutor's office. The latter indicated to AFP on Tuesday October 29 that he was “waiting for evidence, in the form of various recordings, which this lawyer has announced she has and must send (to her)”to decide on the possible opening of a preliminary investigation.

Slimane, 35 years old and revealed by the show The Voice in 2016, obtained 4e place during Eurovision 2024 last May with his title My love. Very popular, he has long been at the top, during his duet with the singer Vitaa, in the album sales ranking in France in 2020 with Versus. At the NRJ Music Awards, Vitaa won the prize for French-speaking female artist.
