Tuesday September 29, Le Parisien revealed that singer Slimane was accused of sexual harassment by one of his former technicians after a concert which took place in Saint-Étienne (Loire) in 2023 during his “Cupidon Tour”. The fact remains that the one who represented France during the last Eurovision contest was to perform this Friday, November 1 for the NRJ Music Awards.

If some rumors had suggested an absence of the singer, Slimane arrived in Cannes on Thursday afternoon and swept aside the doubts surrounding his presence. He will perform his flagship track “Mon amour” as has been planned for several weeks. “He remains presumed innocent, so we do not have to judge him,” said a source close to the negotiations, interviewed by Le Parisien.

Two nominations
The 35-year-old artist is nominated in two categories: “French-speaking song of the year” with the title “Mon amour” as well as that of “French-speaking male artist”. And he repeated well in the south of France. “Everything went well. He greeted everyone when he arrived and carried out his rehearsal with his usual good humor, despite the delay that we had all accumulated”, indicated a technician present on site with our colleagues.

Slimane will therefore perform in Cannes this Friday evening alongside David Guetta, Indochine, Clara Luciani and Pierre Garnier, recent winner of the Star Academy.
