MUSIC – They are still against each other. The NRJ Music Awards ceremony presented from Cannes this Friday, November 1 by Nikos Aliagas pits two former students of the Star Academy against each other in the revelation of the year category.
Héléna and Pierre Garnier are both nominated against rappers and TikTok stars Carbonne (Imagine) and Jungeli (Petit Génie), but also against Jeck, former candidate for The Voice in 2023.
Héléna Bailly, her full name, lost to Pierre Garnier in the semi-final of the last season of the Star Academy. She was one of the most streamed artists in France this summer with her titles Summer Body et New Heart.
Pierre Garnier has become a phenomenon since his victory in the TF1 telecrochet. His album Every Secondwhich includes the titles Those we were, We know et Not a tear sold nearly 100,000 copies, and tickets for his Zénith tour scheduled for 2025 were snapped up in a few minutes.
