A bevy of A-list celebrities and guests hit the red carpet for Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party on Thursday in New York City. Stars took inspiration from the stage and screen for their respective looks, bringing a lot of intricate, ornately designed costumes to the event.
Some celebrities even got meta when it came to their costumes — like Nicole Scherzinger’s straight off the stage of “Sunset Blvd” look. Others opted to pay homage to iconic moments from the movies, such as Kelsea Ballerini, who recreated one of Olivia Newton-John’s most memorable looks from the 1978 movie musical “Grease.”
Ahead, see how guests upped their game for Heidi Klum‘s 2024 Halloween party.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz
Klum and her husband Tom Kaulitz were the king and queen of spooky season at Thursday night’s party. The couple took inspiration from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” wearing head-to-toe makeup and costumes as the titular little alien. Klum distinguished her look from her husbands, adding a blond wig, hat, scarf and red shawl to her costume.
Kelsea Ballerini
Ballerini looked to the 1978 movie musical “Grease” — Olivia Newton-John specifically — for her 2024 Halloween costume. The country singer recreated the late Newton-John’s final look as Sandy from the beloved film, wearing a black, off-the-shoulder fitted top, coordinated hot pants and red open-toe heels. Ballerini’s glam also matched Newton-John’s, with bouncy, voluminous curly hair and a pop of a red lip.
Charli D'Amelio
Charli D’Amelio hit the red carpet of Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party with a recreation of Natalie Portman’s dark alter ego in “Black Swan.” The social media star wore a black tutu with coordinated corseted strapless top. Her makeup was among the most ornate details of her look, with dramatic eyes that looked like swan wings and a ghostly pale face. She wore a tiara evocative of the dark glamour trend to complete the costume.
Nicole Scherzinger
Scherzinger went meta for her 2024 Halloween costume. The Pussycat Dolls alum looked as though she walked off the Broadway stage and straight onto Heidi Klum’s 2024 Halloween party red carpet, wearing her final, dramatic look from her starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Sunset Blvd” as Norma Desmond. Scherzinger wore a simple black slipdress and was covered on her chest in fake blood with mascara running down her cheeks.
