A 13-year-old boy died at his home on Monday October 28. This tragedy occurred when his parents contacted the SAMU twice. A police investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the young teenager's death.
The parents' two calls to the SAMU were not enough to save Israel, aged 13. According to France 3, the young teenager lost his life on Monday October 28. The Bourges hospital, in Cher, pronounced him dead before the teenager was transferred to the hospital. An investigation into this sudden tragedy was opened because the SAMU was contacted twice by the parents. The investigation is still ongoing.
In a press release, the Bourges hospital said it had received a call concerning the worrying state of health of the 13-year-old boy. Thus, the parents of young Israel were redirected to SOS Médecins for a simple consultation. An hour later, the parents called the SAMU again because the child's health had deteriorated rapidly. A team of firefighters as well as a SMUR were mobilized to go to the home. Already in cardio-respiratory arrest when help arrived, the young person died before being transferred to hospital.
An investigation is underway
An investigation was opened by the Bourges public prosecutor's office to determine the exact causes of the young boy's death. “Verifications are carried out when the context is not entirely clear, in particular the cause of death which must be verified because it is unknown at the time the death is noted.” said Céline Visiedo, Bourges prosecutor.
In its press release, the Jacques Cœur hospital announced a “medico-psychological care by the reception center” for the family. The hospital also indicates that it is available to the courts to determine the causes and circumstances of this tragedy.
