F1 Mexico – Carlos Sainz happy after his success: ‘I wanted one more victory before leaving Ferrari’

Carlos Sainz signed the fourth victory of his career this Sunday in Mexico, part of the 20th round of the season.

Obviously, the Ferrari driver was smiling after his success. “It’s amazing to see this crowd. I have a lot of fans here, it’s great. I really wanted to win here. I wanted one more win before I leave Ferrari and do it in Mexico, it’s great“.

Behind, Lando Norris had a race rich in intensity. “It was a difficult race. In the first laps I just tried to avoid crashes and stay on the track. Congratulations to Carlos, who had a great race. Overtaking with Max Verstappen ? I knew what to expect, I respect Max but it wasn’t very clean. We will continue to push until the end.”

Third, Charles Leclerc was not entirely satisfied. “It was difficult but we did the best we could. I couldn’t do better than third. It’s a good weekend for Ferrari overall. I hope we can continue like this to get the constructors’ title, it would be very important for us“.

See you next week for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
