The videographer was not alone on the trail. Two other hikers were walking not far from the landslide area. Luckily, they were able to get to safety in time. All are safe and sound, no injuries have been reported.

The rains responsible?
In question? The intense rains which have hit the Mont-Blanc sector in recent days. This precipitation has certainly made the terrain unstable and weakened the soil. As a reminder, bad weather increases landslides. If you hike, be sure to always check the forecast and follow safety instructions. In case of unfavorable weather in the mountains, avoid certain trails and remain attentive.
