Alerted by a loud noise, three hikers managed to take shelter in time.
Hikers come close to tragedy in Haute-Savoie. Direction the town of Contamines-Montjoie. More precisely on the Col du Bonhomme side, where a landslide occurred last Monday. Three hikers were able to avoid the worst.
A phenomenon captured on video
Vincent Beaussaert was on the scene at the time of the incident. Around 2 p.m. this Monday, this passionate hiker and TikTok user heard a loud noise. “Vicent – rando et montagne”, his pseudonym on the social network, saw rocks rolling down the slope. He captured the moment on video, before sharing it on these social networks.
Two hikers escape the landslide
The videographer was not alone on the trail. Two other hikers were walking not far from the landslide area. Luckily, they were able to get to safety in time. All are safe and sound, no injuries have been reported.

In question? The intense rains which have hit the Mont-Blanc sector in recent days. This precipitation has certainly made the terrain unstable and weakened the soil. As a reminder, bad weather increases landslides. If you hike, be sure to always check the forecast and follow safety instructions.
