Read in Basque: Valladolid gave a big blow to Alaves in Mendizorrotza (2-3)

He Deportivo Alavés suffered its fourth consecutive defeat in the LaLiga EA Sports after falling tonight against Valladolid 2-3 in Mendizorrotza, in a match in which the VAR took on a special role, since first it annulled a goal by the babazorros and then opened the door to a penalty in favor of the visiting team.

Luis García Plaza’s team took the lead early with a long-range goal from Toni Martínez and the Pucelano team achieved the tie from a penalty shortly after, to materialize the comeback in a crazy second half.

Jon Guridi was the protagonist after passing through the locker room. The VAR annulled a goal for offside and shortly after from the VOR room they stopped the match to indicate a handball by the Gipuzkoan.

Amallah and Anuar turned the game around in just four minutes and Valladolid won again eight games later, while Alavés suffered its fourth consecutive defeat.

The Vitorians took the lead quickly, after six minutes, with a bit of Toni Martínezwho found a gap from outside the area to beat Hein low, next to his right post.

It was not the only opportunity that Luis García Plaza’s team created, as they played the first phase of the match in their rival’s field.

However, a counterattack by the Pucelanos left Anuar alone in front of Antonio Sivera, who knocked down the Moroccan striker clearly inside the area. The exalbiazul Mamadou Sylla scored the maximum penalty and the game started again (1-1).

The script changed little after the Valladolid team’s goal. Alavés continued to have the ball and press up when they didn’t have it. But Pezzolano’s men launched several quick counterattacks that created danger in the local defense.

The Vitorians were close to regaining the advantage through the set piece, but Hein avoided it, well placed in the shots attempted by a bossy Glorioso.

In the final stretch of the first half, the Pucelanos took a step forward, surrounded the rival goal and put fear into the bodies of the Albiazules. In fact, they had the best chance in the game with a shot from Mario Martín that was cleared by a great Antonio Sivera.

The Vitorian team regained their place after passing the locker room and once again pushed towards the visitors’ goal. The VAR entered the scene to cancel an early bird both by Jon Guridi due to a previous millimeter of offside by Carlos Vicente, who assisted the Gipuzkoan to push the ball.

The set piece was once again a good weapon for Alavés, while Valladolid insisted on its almost perfect counterattacks. In one of those starts, Abdel Abqar appeared in the 68th minute to prevent a goal pass that would have changed the result.

In fact, in four minutes the game changed. After the subsequent corner kick The VAR appeared again and the referee indicated the maximum penalty for a handball by Jon Guridito the indignation of the local team.

Amallah scored the second goal and with Alavés determined to equalize, Valladolid once again caught the local defense on the counterattack. Mamadou Sylla launched himself into the race and served the third goal on a plate to Anuar.

The match became very tangled in the last phase with several clashes and a stadium unhinged with the referee’s decisions.

The changes did not work for Luis García Plaza, Alavés was in a rush and although Kike García closed the gapit was too late and Valladolid only had to wait for the final whistle.
