A part of the north east of the Toulouse metropolitan area was plunged into darkness this Friday morning. The municipalities of Blagnac, Fenouillet and even part of Toulouse, notably the Saint-Cyprien district, were deprived of electricity for several minutes this Friday morning.

In total, around fifty municipalities were affected according to Enedis by this power outage, including the Pink City. An incident on a 225,000 volt high voltage line caused this problem.

A cut which affects several Airbus sites, some of which continue to operate with generators, but the Toulouse-Blagnac airport whose various halls are plunged into darkness. And it’s impossible to get there by tram. Line T1 “is interrupted due to an electrical problem at Arènes station for an indefinite period,” indicates the Tisséo network.
“To continue your trip, go to the nearest Réseau Relais stop to reach: line 45 which serves the Arènes station and is extended to Place du Relais, line 70 which is extended to the MEETT station, line 66 which serves the Ancely, Arènes Romaines, Fer à Cheval, Île du Ramier and Palais de Justice stations”, further indicates the airport’s urban transport managers.
