Luca de Meo announces the first price of the electric Renault 4!

This Monday during the day reserved for the press, Luca de Meo gave a first clue on the marketing price of the future Renault 4 E-Tech.

The new Renault 4 E-Tech is one of the stars of the 2024 edition of the Paris Motor Show which opens its doors to the public this Tuesday morning. The boss of the Renault Group revealed the first price at which it would be sold.

As cute as can be, the electric Renault 4 should electrify the public at the Porte de Versailles from this Tuesday, October 15, the opening date to the public of the 90th edition of the Mondial de l’Auto. A “a benchmark living car, it is a true everyday adventurer, versatile as can be, at ease in the city or in the countryside, alone or with the family.“, as Fabrice Cambolive, the brand’s general director, summarized this Monday to the press on the manufacturer’s stand at the Paris Expo.

Below €30,000

A zero-emission R4 positioned above the Renault 5 E-Tech, which takes up the main gimmicks of the original R4, sold more than eight million copies in more than 100 countries during its career, while dusting it off: in terms of style already, clearly, it’s a success! A car “made in France”, since the Renault 4 E-Tech will be manufactured from 2025 in Maubeuge, in the North (59). But at what cost? If the price range has not yet been revealed, the general director of the Renault Group Luca de Meo has already provided a valuable clue, indicating that the electric R4, with a range a priori between 300 and 400 km depending on the battery (40 or 52 kWh)would be sold with a first prize below €30,000. Note also that the future electric Twingo, planned for 2026, will be marketed “below 20,000 euros”, further clarified Luca de Meo, in other words one of the cheapest electric cars on the market.
