With the Bigster, Dacia is launching a large SUV €10,000 cheaper than its competitors!

Bigger, more chic!

This tailgate opens onto a particularly generous 667-liter trunk with careful modularity thanks to the three-part folding bench seat and the floor which allows usable space to be segmented. The rear passengers are also particularly pampered. The wheelbase has increased by 4 cm compared to the Duster, which frees up even more legroom. Adults will therefore travel without fear in these places. It’s a shame, however, that the brand is not planning a 7-seater version.

At the front, the dashboard is identical to the one we know on the other Dacia SUV, with a large 10.1” screen as standard for connected multimedia, and digital instrumentation of 7 or 10 .1” depending on the versions used. Dacia offers three central consoles depending on the engines and finishes. The hybrid is the best equipped in this area with its high console which integrates an induction charger, two large drinks holders and refrigerated storage under the armrest.

The equipment is also enriched for the first time with dual-zone air conditioning, active lane keeping assistance and mandatory overspeed alert. The latter two can be deactivated with a simple button like on the latest Renaults.

New hybrid engine

Finally, for the first time, a Dacia inaugurates a completely new engine for the entire Renault group. The Hybrid 155 combines a 107 horsepower 1.8l gasoline engine with a 50 horsepower electric motor and an electrified gearbox inherited from the Renault Austral. This is 15 horsepower more than the Hybrid 140 that we know from other models, and Dacia announces that it would allow you to drive electric up to 80% of the time in town!

The engine range is completed by the 1.2 TCe with 48V microhybridization, with 140 horsepower for front-wheel drive; 130 horsepower for the 4×4 version. An LPG variant of the 140 horsepower engine is also offered, offering up to 1,450 km of autonomy thanks to its additional tank hidden under the trunk board.

€10,000 cheaper!

Dacia has not yet revealed the complete price list for Belgium but is already announcing particularly aggressive introductory prices. Thus, the entry-level petrol version is expected to cost less than €25,000, and the hybrid, less than €30,000. In the segment, it’s around €10,000 cheaper than most competitors!

There is therefore a good chance that this Bigster will quickly join the Sandero and Duster among the cars best sold to individuals in Belgium and Europe.
