A joyful excitement reigned in the courtyard of the François-d’Assise college on Friday October 4.
On this day of Saint Francis of Assisi decreed each year “ special and festive moment » for the entire school, followed the inauguration of the nursery center. From now on, students from the small section to 3e are on the same site, a long dreamed project and finally realized.
There were many who responded to the invitation: students, parents, current teachers and those who made history, Bernard Roux, diocesan director, members of the OGEC and APEL, municipal and departmental authorities, patrons, Jean Merlet, architect of the place, and Father Claude Moussolo, who came to bless the new school.
François-Marie Salomez, director of the school, quoted Saint-François again: ““ Start by doing what is necessary, do what is possible and you will achieve the impossible without realizing it.” We followed these words and today we have a very beautiful school. A huge thank you to everyone ».
Johnny Brosseau, mayor of Cerizay, added: “ The community did not finance it but did most of it. She granted permission to build on a restricted space. Congratulations to the companies who worked on this busy site, which is always delicate, and I wish the students great academic development ».
And it was a motley team of students from various sections, parents, members of APEL and OGEC and teaching staff, who cut the inaugural ribbon, before the visit and the friendship drink musical around a buffet prepared by the students.
