This Saturday took place the women’s race Gravel World Championshipsand it’s the irresistible Dutch girl Marianne Vos (Netherlands) which succeeded Katarzyna Niewiadomabeating at the same time, in a crazy race, the recent world champion on the road, Lotte Kopecky. At 37 years old, Marianne Vos has just won her 14th world champion title in all disciplines (three times world champion on the road, eight times in cyclo-cross and twice on the track) and therefore her first time in Gravel.

“Nice to be in front with Lotte Kopecky”
After her victory, the brand new gravel world champion declared: “A world title is always special, but today I didn’t think for a single moment about the other thirteen. I was just busy with today’s race. It was of course nice to be at the front with Lotte [Kopecky]. But you know it will be difficult. She’s so fast it’s not perfect, but when you’re riding with a rider of such class who has just become a road world champion and is in good shape, then it’s fantastic. It’s very nice to run together here, especially with this crowd.“
