Emergency services intervened this Saturday, October 5, 2024 off the coast of Saint-Tropez, in the Var, for a boat accident, which was sailing with seven people on board.

The body of the victim found dead, a 37-year-old man, was discovered in the morning by fire department divers.
A 38-year-old woman, a 35-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were transported to different hospitals in the morning. Three other victims, a woman and a man aged 20 and a 24-year-old man, in less serious condition, were taken to the Gassin health center, again according to BFM.
More than 300 meters from the shore
The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m., more than 300 meters from the shore. A major emergency system was deployed, coordinated by Cross Med. Twenty-six Var firefighters were on site as well as two SNSM launches and a helicopter from the French Navy.
