Juventus coach Thiago Motta was forced to make two substitutions in the first 11 minutes of a Champions League match against RB Salzburg as Gleison Bremer and Nico Gonzalez were injured.

Two Juventus stars, Bremer and Nico Gonzalez, were forced off the field in the first 11 minutes of a Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

The Brazilian central defender was the first to be replaced after just six minutes of play.

Lois Openda won a shoulder challenge and saw the Juventus defender accidentally twist his left ankle. Turin centre-back received medical treatment on the pitch before Federico Gatti was named as his replacement. According to Amazon Prime Video, Bremer’s injury could also involve his left knee.

A few minutes later, his teammate Nico Gonzalez suffered a muscle injury and was replaced by Portuguese winger Francisco Conceiçao.

Injuries to Bremer and Nico in the opening 11 minutes also mean Thiago Motta has already used two of the three substitute slots.
