Striker Mehdi Taremi will start tomorrow for Inter Milan in the Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.

This is what today’s print edition of the Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport reveals, via FCInterNews.

Taremi has made two starts for Inter so far this season.

The 32-year-old, who joined Inter from Porto in the summer, started against Lecce in Serie A and Manchester City in the Champions League.

Taremi is yet to score his first goal for the Nerazzurri.

However, the Iran international grabbed an assist against Lecce.

And besides, Taremi certainly put a big feather in his cap with his performance against City.

Inter took a hard-fought point in Manchester, a result they will have been very pleased with given the stature of the opposition.

And Taremi played his part in this result.

The Iranian did much to earn the trust of Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi with the way he led the line for Between. First alongside Marcus Thuram, then Lautaro Martinez.

According to Gazzetta, there is no doubt that Taremi will get the nod again in the Champions League.

Inter coach Inzaghi is ready to alternate a little between matches. Including between national and European meetings.

And having a striker like Taremi is certainly a big asset in that regard.

The 32-year-old has demonstrated his versatility to play alongside Thuram or Martinez.

And so, Inzaghi will feel he can give one of this regular starting duo a rest without seeing the level of the attack drop.

La Gazzetta predicts that it will probably be Thuram who drops out.

The Frenchman has started all of Inter’s matches so far this season. But he will have the opportunity to catch his breath tomorrow.

But one thing is certain: Taremi will start.
