A few hours before Prime Minister Michel Barnier’s general policy speech, 160 people gathered in Guingamp, late in the afternoon, this Tuesday, October 1, on the square in front of the town hall. Locally, the call for mobilization was launched by the inter-union made up of the local section of the CGT, FSU, FO and Solidaires.
“The general increase in wages, retirement pensions, the repeal of the pension reform and not improvements, the defense of Social Security, the repeal of the immigration law and repressive laws, the defense of public services for everyone and everywhere in the territory… This is what mobilizes us today,” the union representatives reminded the microphone. Activists who do not give up to defend these demands: “it is urgent to organize joint interprofessional action, because the economic blockade of the country will be necessary to win”.
The procession set off towards the sub-prefecture, before returning to the town hall, to the sound of the slogan: “64 years old, we still don’t want it”.
