The aptly named Victoria Mboko, seeded No. 4, won the international women's tournament on Sunday afternoon (January 12). She won against Clervie Ngounoue with a score of 7-5 / 6-3.

Victoria Mbocko creates a surprise. The young 18-year-old Canadian wins this edition. In the final, she dominated Clervie Ngounoue 7/5, 6/3, although better ranked.

However, the match started badly for the future winner, the number 2 seed was more aggressive. But ultimately, the Canadian managed to shorten the exchanges. It is thanks to this that she made the difference.

It was a very difficult final, I am very happy to have won it. At the start of the match, she was more aggressive than me. And the more we advanced in the match, the more aggressive I was. That's good.

Both players win their first service game. Clervie Ngounoue, the American, is too powerful for her opponent. She breaks quickly and leads 2 to 1.

The Canadian, Victoria Mboko, changes strategy, she attacks her opponent and seeks to end the exchanges as quickly as possible. A winning strategy, 3 games everywhere. The American is less sovereign, less precise and finally the first round goes to Mboko, 7/5.

In the second set, the Canadian was able to stay focused, even when her opponent called the doctor.

This week was perfect for the Canadian who also won the doubles competition with her compatriot Cadence Brone.

Note that an audience of experts followed this meeting. The organizers were forced to add chairs to accommodate everyone.
