The prefect of the Guédiawaye department, through a note made public, announced, this Saturday, January 11, 2025, the suspension of the activities of the Navetanes movement.
“Article 1.- The competitions of the National Popular Championship (CNP) “Navetanes” in the Department of Guédiawaye are suspended, from January 11, 2025 and until further notice, for the following reasons:
-recurrence of scenes of violence and aggression after matches;—destruction of public and private property;
-permanent threats of disturbances to public order.
Article 2.- The Central Commissioner of Guédiawaye is responsible for the execution of this order which will be recorded, published and communicated wherever necessary. »
