Novak Djokovic will begin his 23rd season on the professional circuit in a few days.
The Serbian's legendary career will take a new turn with the arrival of Andy Murray, one of his old rivals, as coach from the Australian Open.
Although Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz dominated 2024 by sharing the Grand Slams, Djokovic will have the opportunity to add new records to his list.
The first is not a record in itself, but it is nonetheless symbolic: if he were to win a tournament in 2025, he would reach the mark of 100 career titles. A figure that has been reached and exceeded only by Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).
In the event of another Grand Slam coronation, Djokovic would bring the number of major tournaments won during his career to 25. It would thus surpass the record established by Margaret Court more than fifty years ago.
With a fourth triumph on the clay of Roland-Garros, the former world No. 1 would be the only player to have won all the Grand Slam tournaments on at least four occasions (10 Australian Open, 7 Wimbledon and 4 US Open ).
He could also equal Roger Federer's record for victories at Wimbledon (8), after missing this opportunity twice in the final against Carlos Alcaraz in the last two seasons.
Finally, the native of Belgrade could complete the Golden Masters for the third time in his career if he were to win in Monte-Carlo next April.
Djokovic has in fact won all the Masters 1000 at least three times, with the exception of the tournament in the Principality of Monaco.
He is the only player to have achieved this feat twice in his career.
