American Taylor Fritz was beaten for the second time this week by Italian Jannik Sinner on Sunday in the ATP Masters final, but remained positive: “It’s a good way to end the season”he insisted. “It’s been a very good week for me, it’s a good way to end the season, it gives me a lot of confidence to approach the off-season and prepare for the next season”explained the Californian, beaten 6-4, 6-4, in the final and in the group stage by the world No.1 in Turin. “I now have a good idea of what I need to improve, but I also feel that I am playing very good Tennis”he continued.
In the next ATP ranking published on Monday, Fritz, 27, will move from 5th to 4th place, the best ranking of his career. “I have the feeling that I now belong to this top 5. I had already been 5th in the world, but it was for a week in 2023 after my title in Delray Beach”he recalled.
