Since she stopped playing , Serena Williams makes it a point of honor to take care of herself, whether through her diet or her physical activities. She has also developed a new obsession: “I became obsessed, much more obsessed with diet and exercise than when I played tennis”she admits in the columns of People this Thursday, November 21. “I knew I was going to burn 20,000 calories a day, and now I'm like, 'Oh my God, I don't know how many calories I'm going to be able to burn!'”she adds. Mother of two girls, Olympia, 7 years old and Adira, 15 months, Serena Williams has been focusing in recent days on managing her health, and her new sports project… Run a half marathon by the end of 2025.

“Look at me”she says. “I'm trying to compete by trying to do a half marathon. That's my new goal. It's like I have to do something competitive. I miss tennis like crazy“, confides the 43-year-old sportswoman. Unfortunately, life can sometimes take another path, without us being able to have our say. “But as a woman, I've had to make different choices that I probably wouldn't have had to make if I was a man, but that's OK, I love it. I love that I chose my family and I want to be with them every day of my life”explains the one who shares her life with Alexis Ohanian.

She continues: “I'm trying to do it. I just think I want to be the GOAT at something else. And for me, that's be a mom Right now”. Sharing moments with family and taking care of her two daughters is her priority. But for that, she must be fit and in good health. “As a mother, my main goal is to be healthy for my children. I have young children and I need to be able to run for them and do all these things.” Serena William concludes.
