The news broke last night that newly elected President Donald Trump has granted a presidential pardon to Ross Ulbricht, the creator of the Silk Road black market. While the latter has just been released after more than 10 years in prison, a Coinbase executive revealed that Ross Ulbricht could have access to 430 bitcoins, the equivalent of 47 million dollars.

Ross Ulbricht could have access to $47 million in BTC
Following the announcement of the presidential pardon, Conor GroganCoinbase’s director of product strategy and business operations revealed some surprising information.
Thus, according to his recent publication on Ross Ulbricht could have access to 430 BTCthe equivalent of 47 million dollars.
The latter would be spread over several addresses which have been associated with Ulbricht. According to Grogan, these funds are not part of the 174,000 BTC that were seized by US authorities during Ulbricht’s arrest.

Grogan shared a screenshot showing one of Ulbricht’s potential Bitcoin addresses. This address has a balance of 88.77 BTC, or approximately $9.4 million.
It now remains to be seen whether Ulbricht still has access to the private keys of these addresses. Otherwise, these 47 million dollars could well remain inaccessible forever.
For his part, Donald Trump continues to make ink flow. Indeed, he announced the launch of his own cryptocurrency, the TRUMP token. An announcement that took the entire crypto community by surprise.
