This OLED PC screen is not a Samsung, yet it is also complete

LG is also getting into it: selling PC screens equipped with a television OS.

Are you looking for the perfect compromise between gaming monitor and connected ? Until now, Samsung had interesting proposals, with Tizen OS.

But, LG might just have created your ideal future PC monitor. The Korean manufacturer has just unveiled the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA. The latter is also equipped with an OS.

An instructor who doesn’t do things by halves

Let’s start with the features that will make you salivate: a 34-inch OLED panel in ultra-wide 21:9 format, slightly curved (800R) for optimal immersion.

The definition of 3440 x 1440 pixels offers comfortable display finesse with its 109 pixels per inch.

For picky creatives, know that this monitor covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space – which means that your content will be displayed with good fidelity.

When it comes to performance, LG is not kidding: an adaptive refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a near-instantaneous response time of 0.03 milliseconds. Of course, there are better, but it’s already very good.

Simply put, you can say goodbye to ghosting and motion blur. Gamers will also appreciate the presence of AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync, which ensure perfect synchronization with your graphics card.

The DisplayHDR 400 certification gives us a base brightness of 250 nits in full screen, with peaks at 400 nits in HDR. It may not be the brightest OLED monitor on the market, but for classic gaming and multimedia use, it is more than sufficient.

integrated webOS

But the real novelty, the one that makes this monitor stand out from the crowd, is the integration of WebOS. No more juggling between different devices. Your PC monitor becomes a complete Smart TV, with direct access to your favorite streaming services. A remote control is even provided to comfortably navigate the interface.

The connectivity is not left out: two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and – little icing on the cake – a USB-C port capable of delivering 65 watts of power. Enough to recharge your laptop while using it as a display source. The integrated USB hub with its two USB-A ports completes the package.

For now, this PC screen is making its debut in Japan, and LG remains discreet about its arrival in Europe. To give you an idea, its “little brother” without WebOS, the 34GS95QE, is currently 898 euros on Amazon. We can therefore imagine a slightly higher positioning for this new model.

In the end, LG seems to have found the magic formula: a high-end gaming monitor that transforms into a Smart TV whenever you want. No more choosing between performance and versatility — you can finally have both. It remains to be seen whether the price will be as attractive as the technical characteristics.
