Don't panic if you pass La Plume d'Or, at the Place de l'Église, in Loudéac (Côtes-d'Armor). Closed for a few days, the store in downtown Loudéac is just getting a makeover.
This is its new manager (officially since January 2, 2025) who takes charge of the site.
An arrival in Loudéac for Florent Persians 42 years old, who therefore goes through two weeks of work to renovate the store, before opening, he hopes, before the end January 2025.
New adventure
Installed at Plouguenast (Côtes-d’Armor) for 7 yearsthis enthusiast knows the world of books well. More precisely the manga for having worked for 16 years in the specialized store Japanim, in Saint-Brieuc.
I left my job in May last year, I learned that La Plume d'Or was for sale… I met Mr. Landry, and what's more, it's closer to home. It's a new adventure.
And for him, managing a business is nothing new either (he was manager of Japanim for 9 years).
“I intend to propose a general bookstoreby directing certain rays, for example with sleevesof the humanities and other things which will also evolve according to customer demands.”
-It will also remain possible to do print your documents at La Plume d’Or; something that Florent Persiani sees “as a service that helps a lot of people”.
“I also keep the stationery part, adding some fine arts materials.”
“Bringing the city center to life”
In Loudéac, the new merchant must deal with the arrival of a new bookstore a little over a year ago (L'Histoire sans fin opened its doors in October 2023).
I think there is room for everyone, with great potential. Before, there were already several in the center.
The Persians are flying
He also sees this “competition” as a healthy element to “encourage everyone to stand out”.
“And I prefer that we work together and that we come together to bring the city center to life,” he concludes. He plans to take part in the life of the association of traders, craftsmen and entrepreneurs of the town.
