After the mini-workstation dedicated to AI Digits, the romance between Nvidia and MediaTek would continue this year. In any case, this is what @QQ_Timmy, a well-known leaker in the tech industry, says on his X account (Twitter). In a Xeet (that’s what must be said), theinsider advances a release horizon for processors made in Nvidia, already sources of numerous rumors in recent months. And the surprise is the presence of two different SKUs in the lineup of the team green.
According to information published on the social network, Nvidia’s first all-in-one chip (SoC) codenamed N1X would arrive on the laptop market by the end of 2025. Three million units would thus be planned for this first wave. A second N1 chip would follow suit next year, with a forecast of 13 million units. According to these two code names and the number of units planned, the N1X would be the most powerful model, while its little brother N1 would target a more general public market.

This is the natural continuation of a partnership launched since the summer of 2023. MediaTek and Nvidia then announced a collaboration in the development of chips for connected automobiles. For the Taiwanese group, already one of the leaders in the manufacturing of SoC chips, the expertise of Jensen in solutions software is a natural complement to tackle a growing market.
Without a doubt, this shared experience sees a logical evolution in the manufacturing of processors for PC… And the development of a direct competitor to Qualcomm, giant of the smartphone market, which has launched into the PC market. with its Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite chips. In the absence of a big reveal at CES 2025, the next Computex scheduled for next May should confirm these rumors. And perhaps have news of G-Sync Pulsar technology, the other collaboration missing since last summer…
