Flurina Bätschi narrowly missed the second World Cup podium of her career. The 21-year-old Davosian took 4th place in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein.

Bätschi was narrowly beaten in the semi-final by Tsubaki Miki, overall leader and future runner-up, and fell in a good position in the race for 3rd place against Italian Elisa Caffont. This 4th place is nevertheless, with that of Yanqing in December, his second best result in the World Cup after the 3rd place obtained in Davos before Christmas.
Among the men, Gian Casanova (7th), best Swiss, was eliminated in the quarter-finals. The victories went to the Italian Aaron March and the German Ramona Hofmeister.
