The Porsche 911 Carrera S is the most dynamic ever built | News

Porsche completes the range of 911 with the Race S. Equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged boxer engine, developing 480 hp (353 kW), it is positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid.

Its performance and driving dynamics have been improved compared to the previous model.

The new 911 Carrera S benefits from a significant increase in power compared to the 911 Carrera.

With its optimized powertrain, the Carrera S model offers performance previously reserved for the previous generation 911 Carrera GTS.

The 911 Carrera S is equipped with an upgraded 3.0-liter six-cylinder biturbo Boxer engine. The optimization of the six-cylinder biturbo engine results in particular in an increase in power and a reduction in emissions.

Developer 480 ch (353 kW) for a torque of 530 Nm, the unit displays a power gain of 30 hp (22 kW) compared to the previous model.

To be able to offer increased performance and better efficiency, the engine has been fitted with new turbochargers and an optimized charge air cooling system.

The sporty Carrera S takes up the design of the previous generation 911 Turbo models.

The 911 Carrera S Coupé crosses the 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reached a top speed of 308 km/h. The car is equipped with an 8-speed Porsche dual-clutch (PDK) gearbox.

The standard equipment of the Carrera S has been enhanced. It includes the fitting of mixed tires on 20- and 21-inch Carrera S rims, the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV plus) torque vectoring control system and a sports exhaust with silver-colored tailpipes.

The braking system provides a significant improvement in driving dynamics. The system, which is fitted to the 911 Carrera GTS, comes as standard with red calipers and 408 mm discs at the front and 380 mm at the rear.

Other options for improving performance are available upon request. Porsche offers the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system and the PASM Sport suspension system, with chassis lowered by 10 mm, combined with rear-wheel steering. The hydraulic shock absorber system has been optimized compared to the previous model, improving handling, directional precision and responsiveness when changing trajectory. The steering is more direct, with rear-wheel steering helping to increase the maneuverability of the Porsche sports car. The front axle kinematics have been adjusted. Combining agility and more direct behavior in curves, the car gains in maneuverability and directional stability at high speed.

The car is fitted as standard with Black leather upholstery. The optional seats, headrests, dashboard, door panels and rear seats are finished in smooth leather. Folding rear seats are available at no extra cost in place of the two-seater configuration offered as standard.

A configuration with extended leather trim in the cabin is available as an option. In this configuration, some interior trim, notably the glove box cover, the side panel trim and the seat cushions, are made of leather.

On request, Porsche embellishes the leather parts with stitching in a contrasting color (Chalk).

The 911 Carrera S benefits from the enhanced standard equipment available across the entire range. This standard equipment includes LED matrix headlights (Matrix LED) and a wireless smartphone charging function.

Options include a front axle lift system, the innovative HD Matrix LED headlights and the Sport Chrono package, with the Porsche Track Precision app, for track enthusiasts.

The 911 Carrera S with rear transmission is offered in from 157,300 euros.
