BattleKart, Basketball and football fields, playground… The City is opening soon in Le Havre

More than 6,000 m² on three levels dedicated to sport and leisurehere is what Le City will very soon offer, in the Nave, at the entrance to the town of Le Havre (Seine-Maritime). The opening of this vast gaming complex is scheduled for the second half of February 2025.

Basketball courts indoora first in Normandy

On the ground floor of this immense brand new building, we find in particular “ a playground from 0 to 12 years old, two football fields and three basketball courts indoor to play three against three or five against five,” explain Alexandra Karavashkina, Bouna Diarra and Mahdi Ben Tahar, partners at the head of this XXL project.

Three seminar rooms have also been created, offering the possibility of being privatized for companies or individuals.

At the first level, and lounge of 450 m² is located on a fully glazed mezzanine. Here, it will be possible to have a drink, to taste some street-food Japanese while watching a match on a giant screen or listening to music.

A karting track where the driver is an actor in a video game

Finally, the icing on the cake is on the top floor of the establishment with a 2,000 m² karting track like no other. This is BattleKart. In the dark, on a track projected onto the ground, the drivers are themselves actors in a video game. Mario fans, this game is for you!

“Full throttle aboard an electric kart, evolves on a track where different circuits, bonuses and game modes are projected on the ground, interact with the decor and the other players to win the game”, promise the creators of this concept which therefore makes its appearance in Normandy, at the City. Please note, this game is reserved for people measuring at least 1m45.

Also on the third level, a bathroom gaming will welcome enthusiasts.

Open seven days a week, the Nave is now full

The three friends are not strangers to Le Havre since they are the ones who created Bee Le Havre in 2016. “We already wanted to create a leisure activity together. » This is how, in 2018, they got in touch with the developer BDM Résidences, who launched the Nef project.

An achievement ultimately delayed due to Covid. “It allowed us to mature our project,” put the partners into perspective, supported “by investors and banking partners.” They also launched Le City Shop, Place Perret, in December 2024, “the little brother of the City”. While it was intended to be ephemeral, this business dedicated to the pop culture universe is ultimately perpetuated given its success.

At the Nef, Le City is the latest establishment to open its doors, after the EVA virtual reality center, the Le Looping bowling alley, the Urban Jump trampoline park, as well as the restaurants Tacos Avenue, Star Millenium, Le Paradis du fruit. and The Horizon.

In total, more than 14,000 m² dedicated to leisure in Le Havreand this, seven days a week.
