After nearly 19 years spent in the local news service, it is with great emotion that I announce my departure as regional editor of icimédias Mauricie/Nicolet-Bécancour.
It was a true honor and privilege to evolve in this industry, alongside passionate and committed professionals, and to have participated in the great transformation of our local media by adapting to new technologies allowing us to inform the population. with quality content that enriches our communities.
These years have been marked by many challenges, rapid developments and moments of great pride. As an editor, I have had the privilege of working with exceptional teams, developing ambitious projects and helping to strengthen the links between our newspapers, our partners and readers, whose loyal support has always been essential.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who shared this adventure with me: my colleagues, our partners, but also you, dear readers, who have always shown trust and interest in our work.
If the time has come for me to explore new opportunities and take on other challenges, my attachment to the values of local information, the independence of editorial staff and proximity to our audiences remains stronger than ever. I am confident that the local press sector will continue to evolve, with the commitment of each of us to offer quality content and to preserve the diversity of voices that make up our society.
In the coming days, I will commit full time to the great and beautiful adventure of entrepreneurship, in a project that drives me to the highest level, and that I have dreamed of for a long time. This dream is called Kerozen | prints, clothing and promotional items.
-I deeply thank all those who allowed me to evolve in this great industry and who believed in my potential as a manager.
I wish you all continued success and accomplishments. Thank you for all the support and moments shared.
With all my gratitude,
Amélie St-Pierre
