CES 2025 always has its share of surprises in store for us, and this year, it’s the Danish company Canvas which is causing a sensation with its innovative high-fidelity audio system. I had the opportunity to discover this solution which could well revolutionize your audiovisual installations.
A unique design that combines design and performance
Imagine an audio system that fits perfectly under any TV, from 55 inches to 77 inches. Canvas Hifi offers exactly that, with a sleek design that will appeal to the most discerning customers. The enclosure, constructed from ultra-rigid MDF, incorporates exclusive BridgeBrace technology for maximum resonance reduction.
Exceptional audio performance
The numbers speak for themselves: 4 channels of class D amplification delivering 250 watts in total, with sound pressure higher than traditional 1000 watt soundbars. The secret? An effective acoustic volume of 23 liters combined with two 6.5-inch bass/midrange drivers and two 5×8-inch passive radiators.
The integration of BACCH 3D technology is particularly impressive. I was able to personally test this feature during a demonstration, and the result is astonishing. The enveloping 3D sound field creates total immersion, with sounds coming from all directions.
Simplified installation
For installers, Canvas has thought of everything. The system includes a universal VESA compatible TV mount, allowing for quick and secure installation.
Room acoustic correction is simply done via an iOS or Android app, using either the iPhone’s microphone or an optional Zen reference microphone for even more accurate results.
Complete connectivity
The connectivity is generous: HDMI eARC, Toslink optical input, analog input, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon, Tidal, and Spotify Connect. The system is also compatible with existing control solutions such as Sonos, Bluetooth, B&O, Bluesound, HEOS, and even Samsung applications.
A sustainable investment
Canvas has thought about the future: the electronic module is scalable and can be updated, both software and hardware. The construction allows for easy maintenance, and the system is covered by a 3-year warranty.
Extensive customization
Customers can choose from thirteen different finishes: black or light gray textile, eight colors of Danish Kvadrat fabrics, or wooden slats available in light oak, mahogany or walnut. This flexibility allows it to adapt to all interior styles.
With a starting price of 3000 euros, Canvas Hifi is clearly positioned in the premium segment. However, compared to solutions like the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theater which costs four times more, the investment becomes very reasonable for the quality offered.
Canvas Hifi represents an excellent opportunity for high-end installations: the sound quality, careful design and ease of installation make it a product perfectly suited to the expectations of the most demanding customers. The possibility of updating and the modular construction also guarantee the sustainability of the investment.
