But all the same, those nostalgic for the PlayStation Vita will feel a warm feeling seeing Dimps and Bandai Namco bring new life to Freedom Wars on PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. Like Soul Sacrifice, which we would also like to see again, Freedom Wars was ordered by Sony (still the license holder) in a particular context, namely that of the (already fatal) stab that represented the 3DS exclusivity of Monster Hunter 4. Twelve years later, the nightmare is long over for Sony, whose PS5 will be one of the big beneficiaries of the future hurricane (Uragaan?) Monster Hunter Wilds, like the PS4 before it with Monster Hunter World. As for Freedom Wars Remastered, we wish it good luck, but despite its unusual dystopian prison science fiction setting, this cooperative hunting game had already had difficulty convincing on Sony’s laptop.
So, another path is available to you, that of Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, or how to kick off your year with an action-RPG classic from Falcom. Already available for a long time on PC, this remake of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys will have been a long time coming on our good old consoles. A lack that Falcom finally repairs, with the participation of Marvelous in the role of editor. And if the game has not been localized in French, know that a boxed version awaits fans on PS5 and Switch (40 euros). Nothing like this, necessarily, for the two other games on the list which are aimed exclusively at Apple Arcade subscribers, notably Three Kingdoms Heroes, a strategy game from Koei Tecmo inspired by chess and its Japanese counterpart, shogi .
