increased frequency for better performance

AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors, due in late January, will expand the Ryzen 9000X3D series lineup. Unlike the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, these new models will not suffer compromises on overclocking frequencies, achieving the same speeds as their non-X3D counterparts.

According to leaker HXL, these high-end processors, which will be launched next month, will benefit from a design without frequency limitations. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 X3D integrates a single CCD equipped with technology 3D V-Cachewhile the other CCD is optimized to achieve maximum frequencies. This concept is reminiscent of that applied during the previous generation Ryzen 7000X3D.

The single-threaded and multi-threaded performance of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D should be comparable to the Ryzen 9 9950X. This result indicates a significant improvement in performance compared to the previous generation, which could strengthen AMD's position in the market.

The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 9950X3D processors are expected to be revealed at the CES 2025as part of AMD's main presentation. In addition to these new processors, the company is also expected to introduce Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards and FSR 4 technology.

With this announcement, AMD appears to clarify its strategy around advanced processors, integrating an architecture that maximizes performance while maintaining efficient energy management. Users will thus be able to benefit from increased capacities without sacrificing power.
