Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 11 through the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program. This Build 26120.2705 introduces some interesting new features. Here are the most notable facts.
Available through update KB5050636, Windows 11 Build 26120.2705 introduces real-time translation in live captions for Copilot+ PCs equipped with AMD and Intel processors. We also have an improvement in this area for Snapdragon-powered devices.
PC Copilot+ users should ensure their drivers are up to date via Windows Update in order to take advantage of this new feature. The latest drivers for AMD Ryzen and Intel Core Ultra processors are also available for direct download.
Live subtitles support translation of 44 languages to English, while Snapdragon PCs introduce translation to Simplified Chinese. This concerns Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, France, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian , Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian and Swedish.
Note that this progress in English translation also concerns speakers during real-time video calls, recordings and streaming content. This real-time translation is deployed on Copilot+ PCs powered by AMD and Intel, with English as the primary language.
