Less than six months after its presentation, OnePlus announced the renewal of its flagship headphones, the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. The premium headphones will be available in a new color to match the OnePlus 13.
When the OnePlus 13 launches in January 2025 in global markets, it won’t be the only new product OnePlus will unveil. The Chinese manufacturer has revealed that its flagship headphones, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will also be refreshed.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 was first announced at the end of August, with a redesigned body and a number of improvements. When it launched, it was available in two colors: Midnight Opus and Lunar Radiance. OnePlus has just announced that the headphones will receive a new color and that they will be launched at the same time as the OnePlus 13.
We won’t have to wait until January to see this new color, as OnePlus has already revealed it in marketing materials for its Winter Launch event. The new color, called Sapphire Blue, will have a two-tone finish like the other two color options currently available. It will retain the polished silver stems, but will sport a blue head with matching tips. The case will also be a mix of blue and silver.
OnePlus didn’t choose this color randomly, as it’s obvious that it was designed to match the Midnight Ocean variant of the OnePlus 13. The other two colors of the OnePlus 13 already match the existing colors of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3.
Except for different colors, the new OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are expected to retain the features of other color options, like Bluetooth 5.4 with Multipoint Bluetooth support, LHDC 5.0 codec support, dust resistance and splash-proof IP55, Google Fast Pair with Find My, Zen Mode Air, Spatial Audio with head tracking, and up to 43 hours of battery life.
It is also expected to retain its launch price of $179.99, although OnePlus is currently selling the Buds Pro 3 for $119.99 on its online store in celebration of its 11th anniversary. If you don’t like the new blue color at all, you should get the headphones at this discounted price. The cheaper OnePlus Buds 3 also comes in blue, but in a different shade, and it’s available on Amazon for $69.99.
