Visuary offers a solution for creating interactive 3D models. The objective: to simplify the customization of projects, but also to adapt to the needs of real estate developers, as well as craftsmen specializing in renovation.
The company Visuary has launched an application designed for construction professionals, in particular real estate developers and small construction companies. Its objective: transform the way projects are planned, monitored and executed.
Julien Kistler, co-founder of Visuary, explains the origin of the project: “I worked for five years in a large construction group, and I realized that there were no tools adapted to the needs of craftsmen or work supervisors in the field. However, a well-planned project is the key to a successful project.” It is by combining this experience with a desire for simplification that the Visuary platform was born.
The innovation of the platform lies in its ability to simplify complex tasksthanks to advanced features, such as real-time 3D capture. This is based on the LIDAR sensors present on certain smartphones.
“This technology allows you to create a 3D model of a part in just a few movements. Thanks to our application, it is possible to create a 3D plan in five minutes on an iPhone Proedit a detailed quote and generate commercial visual renderings in just a few clicks », explains Julien Kistler.
“All of this is designed to save craftsmen time and enable them to present qualitative commercial proposals. Our ambition is to simplify their lives so that they can concentrate on their know-how,” summarizes the co-founder.
With already more than 60 real estate developers using its version dedicated to new construction – called Visuary VEFA – the start-up has been able to adapt its expertise to human-scale renovation projects, via Visuary Renovation. In a few months, more than 1,000 professionals in the sector have adopted the solution.
A response to the obstacles of digitalization
If the digital transition struggles to take hold in the building industry, it is often due to a lack ofdigital tools too complex, expensiveorpoorly adapted to the realities on the ground. “We’re not going to give a Rolls-Royce to someone who just needs to go 100 meters », Illustrates Julien Kistler.
Through this metaphor, he highlights the gap between very sophisticated technologies, such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), used in large-scale projects, and the real needs of craftsmen who manage smaller projects. In other words, “ a tool like Revit or ArchiCAD, while powerful, is often not suitable for craftsmen or small construction companies who do not need such advanced features “, he emphasizes.
Visuary intends to remove these obstacles by offering a tool designed for craftsmen. “ We often receive feedback from craftsmen who tell us: “Finally someone who understands our job and our constraints!”», proudly displays the co-founder.
A lasting ambition
And the French company does not intend to stop there. Future developments of the application will include features related to energy optimization, such as the integration of a DPE project or a life cycle analysis of materials.
“Our goal is to allow professionals to compare several renovation scenarios in terms of cost, time and environmental impact, with childlike simplicity. », explains Julien Kistler. In the longer term, Visuary aims to internationalize and become a reference for renovation professionals. “ We want to bring more communication and transparency to construction sites, because this is what makes a project successful. », he concludes.
Visuary seems well motivated to democratize digitalization in a sector that is still reluctant.
