The OnePlus 13R has been mentioned several times in recent weeks. Today, 91mobiles and @OnLeaks joined the party with what they describe as a “full specs” reveal. We already knew a lot about the device, partly thanks to its recent appearance on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gen 3. Furthermore, the OnePlus 13R could be limited to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage worldwide.
OnePlus will equip the OnePlus 13R with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As 91mobiles notes, this is apparently the same screen as that of the OnePlus 12R (currently $599.99 on Amazon). Higher brightness could be considered, as was the case in October with the OnePlus 13.
Likewise, the duo reports that OnePlus will carry over the unchanged front, primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras from the OnePlus 12R. However, the 2 MP macro sensor has reportedly been replaced by a 50 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the latter will be used for portraits or telephoto optics.
Additionally, 91mobiles and @OnLeaks believe that the OnePlus 13R will adopt a 6,000mAh battery, which would represent a 500mAh and 9% improvement in capacity compared to its predecessor. On the other hand, they claim that OnePlus will lower wired charging from 100 W to 80 W; we can assume that wireless charging is not on the agenda either. In this context, the OnePlus 13R is also expected to be around 1.5mm shorter and 0.78mm thinner than the OnePlus 12R but 0.47mm wider. Although no official release date has been announced yet, the OnePlus 13R will likely be presented alongside the OnePlus 13 worldwide in January 2025.
