Extensive integration in iOS

The latest ChatGPT update brings a dedicated shortcut to SearchGPT. This new feature allows you to launch a search directly from the iOS Shortcuts application. To take advantage of it, simply install the latest version of ChatGPT on your iPhone or iPad.

The function is automatically activated after the update. A new “Open SearchGPT” shortcut appears in your library. You can customize it to your needs or integrate it with your other iOS automations.

A tool that remains premium

Access to SearchGPT remains reserved for ChatGPT Plus subscribers and users of the Teams version, intended for collaborative team work. This advanced version offers exclusive features such as responses enriched with web citations and a sidebar grouping together relevant sources.

OpenAI plans to gradually expand access to SearchGPT to free users. Sam Altman, the company’s CEO, confirmed this desire for openness during an interview in March. He wants to offer “a better way to help people find, use and synthesize information” rather than simply competing with traditional search engines.
