Google Calendar now includes a complete view of tasks and to-do lists, providing simplified management without using the Google Tasks app.
Managing your tasks directly from Google Calendar on Android becomes a reality. We told you about it a month ago, and it's now done: in its latest update, the application Google Agenda allows you to consult, organize and check off your to-do lists, without having to open Google Tasks.
Merging Google Tasks with Calendar
Google updates its Google Calendar app on Android to enable simplified task management and to-do lists. Now users can view and manage all of their tasks, whether they're date-bound or not, right from the app. This new functionality, introduced on the web version in 2022, now extends to mobile.
An icon dedicated to tasks appears at the top right of the interface, next to the profile photo and the button indicating the date. By selecting it, you access a complete view of the interface Google Taskswhere you can check off completed tasks or organize your lists. This change brings Google Calendar closer to an “all-in-one” application for planning your days.
Better task management on Android
This update makes the Google Tasks app less essential for many users. Now all major task management functions are integrated into Google Calendar. However, the dedicated application retains one advantage: its widget, which allows you to display task lists or create new ones directly from the phone's home screen.

This new feature, currently available exclusively for Android, does not yet have a planned launch date on iOS. This could limit its adoption among users who switch between the two operating systems, although it's only a matter of time before iPhone users are served.
