Amazon: ‘Black Friday’ will begin on Thursday, November 21

Amazon announced on Wednesday that ‘Black Friday’ week, its major global promotional operation, would be held this year from November 21 to December 2.

The American Internet giant, however, cites an economic context that is ‘still tense’ while inflation continues to weigh on households, which leads it to plan hundreds of thousands of promotions of up to 35%.

According to a study conducted by OpinionWay for Amazon, the cost of Christmas shopping is a source of anxiety for one in two French people (49%), with the cost of gift purchases worrying especially women and households with children (respectively 55% and 60%).

Beyond good deals on Amazon devices like Echo, Fire , Kindle or Ring, Amazon plans to offer a 10% reduction on a selection of second-hand products from Amazon Second Hand.

Imported from the United States where it follows the Thanksgiving holiday, ‘Black Friday’ unofficially kicks off end-of-year sales, a crucial period for distributors.

Last year, this vast commercial operation enabled Amazon customers to save billions of euros around the world, a record.
