Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Between the islands of Saint Lucia and Grenada, the island of Saint Vincent, and its neighboring sisters, the Grenadines, seduce from the first glance through the porthole during final approach. Small colorful houses, numerous green peaks, including the dormant La Soufrière volcano, emerald-colored waters, there is no doubt, the tropical paradise exists and you are about to land there. In Saint-Vincent, the winding roads and heavy traffic bring you back to reality, but only for a short time since the transfer to the hotel takes only 45 minutes. The final bend leads to the hollow of a valley where the property nestles, which opened its doors in spring 2024.

“Welcome home,” croons the welcoming team with their contagious smiles upon arrival at Sandals. The sun is about to set on a fiery sky. Refreshing towel (much needed!), welcome cocktail, registration is done in a few minutes before a tour of the resort facilities. There is no doubt, the magic happens quickly.

Have fun all day

It’s difficult to choose how to spend your days in the complex as there are so many options. Relax under the blazing sun at one of the five inviting swimming pools. The beach is just as great with its warm sea and its “floating donuts” where you can abandon yourself to the movement of the waves. If you prefer to move, the possibilities are almost endless. Play leapfrog on a buoy pulled by a boat, explore the seabed by snorkeling or on the glass-bottomed boat, paddle a kayak towards a cave filled with bats (accompanied by a guide of course). There is no shortage of water activities – and are all included in the package. If you want more, there is of course a varied program of lessons and games at the main swimming pool offered on the timetable accessible on the application.

The size of Sandals allows everyone to find what they want, without having to walk miles. Moreover, to move more quickly from one place to another, pretty bicycles are left here and there available to guests.

Paid excursions are also offered by Island Routes: romantic sunset cruise to the La Soufrière volcano, mountain bike outing, guided tour of the island… It’s a great way to discover the beauties of the islands.

International gastronomy

The gastronomy is also there. Only two restaurants require a reservation during your stay and Buccan is a must. This outdoor terrace invites you to taste Vincentian cuisine made with local ingredients cooked the old-fashioned way over a wood fire, a first for Sandals. A few appetizers later, you will take a seat at a large table that you will share with other guests. You will notice that conversations begin quickly as large dishes to share are passed around. Chickpea curry, mahi-mahi, lamb, slice of pumpkin with cinnamon, fruits and vegetables of all kinds make up this several-course menu which varies depending on availability; an experience that is both gastronomic and cultural.

Other restaurants include an Italian, a steakhousea seafood restaurant (special mention to the delicious popcorn shrimp), a Jamaican cuisine restaurant, a sushi restaurant, a pizzeria, a salad bar, a creamery, and more!

A cozy nest

Between bungalows, two-story villas on stilts (!) and incredible suites, you will find your personalized luxurious cocoon among the 301 units at Sandals Saint-Vincent. The rooms are huge and the storage allows you to arrange all your personal belongings. The minibar is well stocked and the media room where you can relax while watching a film is sublime. Everything is there so that we don’t have presque never want to leave this cozy nest!

We love the “swim-up” suites (that is to say with a swimming pool accessible from your balcony) which makes it easier to have a quick dip before bed. With the most modern facilities, an outdoor bathtub on a spacious terrace with love seat, you will love everything about your sumptuous temporary home.
