Galaxy S25 FE: Samsung would like to make it the rival of the ultra-thin iPhone 17

For several weeks, the idea of an iPhone 17 Air or Slim has gained ground. Picked up by renowned informants, including Mark Gurman, this rumor suggests the arrival of an ultra-thin model at the start of the 2025 school year, to the detriment of the Plus version.

However, playing on finesse would not be reserved only for Apple. The Elec indeed mentioned on October 11, 2024 that Samsung intended to use the same strategy with its next model in the FE range. Thus, the Galaxy S25 FE would be thinner than its predecessor (8 mm thick), while retaining its large 6.7-inch screen.

For this, the South Korean firm would opt for a new battery, which would be thinner, but more extensive than on the Galaxy S24 FE. It now remains to be seen whether concessions will be made on the photography side, just as Apple would consider with the iPhone 17 Air/Slim, abandoning the ultra-wide-angle sensor.

Another piece of information has fallen on the Galaxy S25 FE: the processor. While rumors mentioned the arrival of MediaTek Dimensity chips on the S25 and S25+, lekaer Jukanlosreve shared this October 11 on Twitter/X that this would ultimately concern the FE version.

We learn in passing that all Galaxy S25s will benefit from a Snapdragon chip. This would follow previous rumors, which assumed that Samsung would wait until it had sufficiently competitive chips to come back with its own models.

The Exynos 2500 would therefore not be up to the standard of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which Qualcomm will announce very soon.
