The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite, a “lite” connected watch which still promises very interesting features, has barely arrived on the market when it is already available on promotion. On Amazon, you can indeed find it at 33.81 euros instead of 49.99 euros, its launch price.
Xiaomi announced its new connected watches a few days ago, namely the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Active and Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite. Today, it is the latter that particularly interests us. Not only for its technical sheet which is in no way “light”, since it still integrates an Amoled screen, a GPS or even very practical waterproofing, but also and above all for its price, surprisingly low for such services: currently, it does not exceed 35 euros.

Launched at 49.99 euros, the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite is currently offered at 33.81 euros on Amazon. It will be shipped within 1 to 2 months.
Also note that the official Xiaomi website offers it for pre-order with free Redmi Buds 6 Play: to do this, you simply have to pay the deposit of 1 euro (before October 13, 11:59 p.m.) for the pre-order. Payment of the residual balance must be made from October 14. The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Active is also available for pre-order with free headphones, with a deposit of 1 euro for a final price of 39.99 euros.
A neat design and a beautiful screen
The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite may well be presented as a lightweight model, but its technical sheet still includes some rather premium features, starting with certain aspects of its design.
We are thus treated to a look that is very close to that of the Apple Watch, with its square case rich in reflections and rounded corners. But the main strong point of its design is obviously this large 1.96-inch Amoled screen with a resolution of 410 × 502 pixels, which therefore offers superior image quality to that of the Redmi Watch 5 Active, which makes do with a 2-inch LCD panel. The panel therefore promises deep blacks and vibrant colors, which can also be enjoyed on a large display area since the watch offers a screen size ratio of 75.80%.
Another design advantage of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite: its IP68 certification, which makes it resistant to dust and immersion. But that’s not all, because this smartwatch is also waterproof up to 5 ATM, making it a perfect ally for swimmers. There is even a specific training mode for swimming enthusiasts.
A watch also for sports
The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite can track your sports performance since it includes more than 150 training modes. It also includes a GPS module, a rather rare feature for entry-level watches. It’s a nice surprise, then. However, let’s keep in mind that the accuracy of GPS integrated into connected watches can sometimes leave something to be desired, especially in cheaper models. On the health side, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite is also capable of measuring heart rate, blood oxygenation rate (SpO2) and even sleep quality.
Finally, on the endurance side, the brand promises an autonomy of 18 days with standard use, and 12 days in intensive mode. If the always-on display is activated, then the battery life drops to 7 days. Also note that the Redmi Watch 5 Lite is equipped with speakers and microphones that allow you to make calls, if the smartphone is within range, but also to use the Alexa assistant.
