Originally released in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Red Dead Redemption is a video game set in an open world. We play a certain John Marston, a former outlaw who seeks to find his ex-partners. In this action-adventure type game, the view is from the third person.
Upon its marketing, Red Dead Redemption largely convinced both the press and the public. It is not only one of the best games in the Rockstar Games catalog, but also one of the best video game works in short. Rockstar has prioritized a port of the first part to PS4 and Switch in 2023.
If the gestation of this port was long, it was worth it: Rockstar Games notably reports support for native 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 144 Hz (if compatible hardware), support for ultrawide monitors (21: 9) and super ultrawide (32-9), HDR10 management, and keyboard/mouse compatibility.
There is also the consideration of certain technologies linked to graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD, in particular DLSS and FSR for upscaling, which consists of adjusting a video to a larger image definition. However, it still remains to be seen at what price Rockstar Games will offer it.
