Towards an exploration of the Moon that respects its environment – Large auditorium of the José Cabanis Media Library, , 31506

Conference presented by Michel Blanc, professor emeritus, IRAP, University of , president of the COSPAR “Exploration Panel”, member of the AAE Lunar exploration is the first step towards future human missions to Mars. It also has its own objectives: scientific research, exploitation of local resources, services for astronauts, and perhaps tourism. At a time of increased environmental awareness on our own planet, space agencies and private actors, with the assistance of various international organizations, must build together, under the auspices of the United Nations, a balanced, equitable and sustainable use of lunar resources which will preserve for future generations the common heritage of humanity on the Moon. Conference organized by the Academy of Air and Space in partnership with the Cité de l’espace, the Association of Friends of the Cité de l’Espace, the Toulouse Town Hall and the Toulouse library.
