Amazon’s Flash Prime Days have officially started, and today, the Google Pixel Tablet, the first of its name, is benefiting from a nice reduction. This tablet, which gives us the benefit of the Pixel Experience and a beautiful screen, is currently offered, without its dock, at 369 euros instead of 499 euros on Amazon.
It was last year that Google launched its first tablet since 2015, the year the Pixel C was released. Here is the Google Pixel Tablet, a slate that has many positive points, such as the Pixel Experience or its recent integration of the AI function Circle to Seach. This announcement was also accompanied by a drop in the price of the Pixel Tablet, which went to 499 euros, but without its dock, an accessory which still makes its mark. But if you don’t particularly care about this support, know that you will be able, during Prime Day, to see it displayed for less than 370 euros.

A pretty tablet, but without its dock
With its plastic shell, the Google Pixel Tablet reveals a less premium finish than the iPad, but that does not prevent it from being particularly pleasant under the fingers thanks to its smooth coating and its rounded edges. On the other hand, we would have liked the fingerprint sensor to be better placed: here, it is really difficult to reach. Concerning the weight of the tablet, it weighs almost 500 g, so it is not a featherweight.
Hence the interest of the dock, which accommodates the tablet and also allows the latter to transform into a home automation console like an Amazon Echo Show; Moreover, the screen saver really brings the device closer to a Nest-type connected home hub. Unfortunately we will have to do without it here, but please note that the dock is sold separately and is strongly recommended to make the most of the experience. The dock notably offers an ideal tilt for watching a movie or even playing thanks to Xbox Game Pass. On the audio side, this support also provides a good amount of bass and ensures real listening comfort.
A Pixel Experience as enjoyable as ever
Concerning the tablet itself, it has an 11-inch LCD panel with a definition of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. During our test, we really appreciated the vibrant colors displayed by this screen, as well as its good contrast ratio. We liked less the numerous reflections present due to the low light. The fluidity of 60 Hz is sufficient, but it is obviously the animations of the Pixel Experience that allow you to forget this low rate. Precisely, about this Pixel Experience, it still offers one of the best interfaces of the moment, with excellent fluidity and a good level of customization. Many Pixel-specific features are also available, such as the Unblur function, which corrects the blur on an old photo. The software also allows you to cast content onto the tablet very quickly.
Regarding its performance, the Google Pixel Tablet is powered by a Google Tensor Core G2 chip, which is found in the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Thanks to this processor, the tablet runs smoothly, almost never heats up and does not suffer from slowdowns. In game, however, the graphics cannot be increased to the maximum, at the risk of experiencing some drops in framerate. Finally, Google obliges, Google Assistant is obviously there, but surprisingly, it can be slow to react to our requests… In terms of autonomy, this drops quite quickly. Using the dock is therefore more than recommended.
