If you have never played Until Dawn or if you want to keep the total surprise to make the most of the remastered version which is coming out tomorrow, we advise you not to read this article any further. For others, well know that the end of Until Dawn (2024) has just come leaker on the Web and is different from that of the original game.
In Until Dawn (2015), the character of Joshua (played by Rami Malek) has no happy ending. If the player manages to save him over the course of the game, he still ends up transformed into Wendigo in the mines, engaging in cannibalism. But the end ofUntil Dawn (2024) is somewhat different, as revealed by a user from Reddit. After the sequences where the survivors tell their story to the police, we are treated to a first post-credits scene with Joshua isolated in the mines, but completely humansimply injured. The voice of Dr Hill (Peter Stormare) speaks of redemption, suggesting that Josh will eventually come out of it.
A second scene shows us Sam (Hayden Panettiere) at home, several years after the chalet drama. His alarm goes off at 6 a.m. and we discover pills and a book titled Creature Myths of the Great Plains, the young woman seems to suffer from post-traumatic stress and even sees his injured and bloody forearm. An unknown voice even calls him by his first name, it’s difficult to know if it’s a nightmare, a hallucination or reality. In any case, this ending is much more open than the original and suggests that a sequel could see the light of day.
For now this is just speculation, but if Until Dawn (2024) is selling well, this could allow Sony, Supermassive Games et Ballistic Moon to develop a sequel. In the meantime, well you can find the game for €69.99 on Amazon and a film is in production.
