US presidential election: this photo of JD Vance is a bit exaggerated

A failed tribute? A touch of humor? A traffic jam assumed? Internet users don’t really know what Mike Collins wanted to do, Wednesday morning on X. The day after the debate between the two potential future vice-presidents, the Republican deputy published a portrait of JD Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate. The image was accompanied by a simple “Gm”, short for “Good morning”. At first glance, this photo of the Ohio senator seemed impeccable. Maybe a little too much, in fact.

Indeed, Internet users who smelled the scam brought out the official portrait of JD Vance in the Senate. It then became clear that the one published by Mike Collins had been heavily edited. “This photo was digitally altered to change the appearance of JD Vance,” we can now read under the famous publication. In all likelihood, the Republican deputy was seeking to highlight the successful performance of the potential future vice-president during the debate.

The Huffington Post asked a spokesperson for Mike Collins where he found the photo and whether he knew it was heavily Photoshopped. As a response to this email, the American media received a photo of Donald Trump listening. An image often used on social networks to illustrate surprise, in a sarcastic way.

Regardless, Internet users took the opportunity to have a good laugh, as evidenced by the tweets below.
