The highly anticipated Caluds race finally turns into a “four”

The public, who came in large numbers, ended up quickly turning around this event planned for Saturday May 11, at the Alès feria.

The Caluds race did not have the success that had been predicted. However, the crowd had bet on this derivative of the swimming pool toro, and came in numbers this Saturday afternoon to witness this race, the principle of which is simple. In teams of two, participants complete an obstacle course, thus leading the bull into the swimming pool installed in the center of the Beaucairoises, installed, as usual, on the banks of the Gardon. But the atmosphere, although initially enthusiastic, quickly softened.

The bulls did not seem to want to play the game.
FREE NOON – Alexis Béthune

“There’s not much going on today.”

Firstly due to a start time delayed by thirty minutes, due to medical treatment, and the blazing sun, which convinced some of the parents of young children to leave the premises, the places in the shade already being crowded. Fault also with the first bulls who did not seem to want to play the game, preferring to stay in the shade, not responding to the calls of the intrepid young people on the sand.

“We’re ch…, right?”says a young spectator to his neighbor. “Shall we have a drink?”retorts the other. “Come on, let’s go have a drink…” Like many others, young people are also leaving the area, little by little. One, two, then three bulls pass on the track, but the adrenaline is not at its peak, despite some energy boosts during the game. “It’s soft today…said David, disappointed. Not much happening today. It was still better Thursday evening!”
