Dakar, Jan 26 (APS)-The Mosque of the family of El Hadji Omar Tall (between 1794 and 1797-1864) of Dakar presented distinctions on Saturday to the winners of its annual competition from the Koran, Mahmoud Tall, Lady Lamine Diop, Mamoudou Baal and Abdourahmane Diallo.

The two winners cited in the first place are students of the Koranic Serigne-Samba-Diagne school, the others of the residents of the Ben Nour school.

“We were fascinated by the clarity and beauty of their recitation, their perfect mastery of the Koran, rules and techniques of recitation. They accomplished this exercise without the slightest fault. This is why we decided to honor them by assigning them the mention ‘very well’ ‘, said the Koranic master Alioune Touré, one of the four members of the jury of the competition.

The jury certified the skills of the winners, who graduated in the presence of Iman Thierno Saïdou Tall and other dignitaries of the family of El Hadj Omar Tall.

The Imam congratulated the winners and thanked their parents, their Koranic masters and the directors of the schools where they come from.

“Because of the deep love that links parents to their children, it is never easy to entrust a child to another person, so that she is responsible for her education. But by the grace of God, a day like this is a real reward for you, ” said Thierno Saïdou Tall to parents of students.

He wanted to recall the advantages that children sent to the Koranic school, as well as their parents, can draw.
